Additional Information

Neil Vesma is a French-speaking, English born and English trained architect and has lived full time in France since 2004.

Neil has been registered with the Ordre des Architectes in Bordeaux since 2005 and is entirely bilingual. He has a sympathetic eye for local character and a thorough knowledge of the French way of building.

Neil’s practice is based in the beautiful bastide town of Villeréal in the Lot-et-Garonne, 30 minutes south of Bergerac. He can help you realise your dream to create a home that you can be proud of, and one that is a delight to live in.

Neil is entirely independent of building contractors and any other commercial influence. He provides his clients with straightforward, unbiased advice on design, timescales and cost. He will discuss your project with you personally and without obligation, and will then provide a written quotation.

He has won awards both for traditional and contemporary design: Gloucester City Council recognised his skill in renovating a Regency Townhouse with an Urban Design Award, and he also won the prestigious national PICA Award for his use and detailing of contemporary materials in his ABA Photographic Studios.

“We architects are often seen as overpaid pipe-smoking bow-tie-wearing dreamers with little or no contact with reality..."

An architect, if he is doing his job properly, will be on your side from the moment he first speaks to you.  Don’t be afraid...
