The social charges tax I read last year that if you have an E121 we are not liable to this charge as we have paid all contribrutions into the UK system andif you are resident here the UK pays into the French system. It was in one of the 2 English/French news papers. Can anyone please clarify the situation.
Hi I have checked out the site and have read the following
An EU national may be exempt from paying Social Charges on thier countries Pension income if they hold an E106 or E121 for healthcare purposes.
This still does not clarify the situation I have the basic state pension and a very private one I don't pay French income tax so that tells you my income is small, So do you have to pay or not ?
You should not pay any on your pensions if you hold an E121, but all other unearned income (interest from investments bank interest etc.) is subject to CSG, CRDS and PS
Hi thanks , how do you get the tax man to understand this, when they dont even understand thier own rules. I know you are trying to help I dont speak enough french to deal with this. can you please help ie e mail me direct.
