stolen driving licence

My husband has just had his English driving licence stolen.

Can anyone tell us how to replace it with a French one?

Why bother, Just re-apply for a Uk licence, Costs £25.

I had my wallet stolen with Cards, Log Book, Driving Licence and Counterpart.

Applied to the DVLA by Mail and sent it to my UK address, Had new licence 15 days later.

If you don't have a UK address, then you will need to get a letter from DVLC showing your UK licence details. They will not issue a new licence to a foreign address. You will be able to use the letter of entitlement to obtain a French licence.

I checked right away on thee DVLA website and they will not issue a new licence as we no longer have a uk address.

Thankyou to everyone for their help.

It seems fairly straightforward.

The gendarmes said we have to inform the British embassy, perhaps this is because of identity theft.
