Markets in Dordogne, Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne

When the countryside comes to you. Find out when and where you can enjoy the pleasures of browsing through an outdoor market for local produce, fresh fruit and vegetables and organic food from the bio-food producers.

Most towns or villages throughout France have market day at least once a week. Local farmers (and sometimes crafts people) sell their produce at stalls in eth village square or market place. Certain regions have extra markets to handle seasonal and local speciality foods.

Rouffignac St-Cernin de Reilhac: Wednesday evenings from 18:00 from July to beginning August at Place du marché
Saint-Aulaye: 2nd weekend of August in the evening - wine, cheese and regional produce fair 
Thiviers: 3rd weekend of August - wine and food fair 
Villefranche-du-Perigord: in season, June to October - cep (wild mushroom) market.
